As we head into the Fourth of July weekend, we want to wish you a safe, healthy, and joyful holiday.

Please remember that our team is available 24/7 for your medical needs. If a health concern comes up over the holiday weekend, call us first before going to urgent care, the emergency room, or the hospital — unless it is a true life-threatening emergency.

Many issues can be handled quickly by phone, telehealth, or, when appropriate, an in-home visit. Calling us first may help you avoid unnecessary urgent care visits, long ER waits, hospital exposure, and added stress.

When to Call Us First

Please reach out for concerns such as:

  • Fever, cough, sore throat, urinary symptoms, or possible infection

  • Medication questions, side effects, missed doses, or refill concerns

  • Mild to moderate injuries, cuts, sprains, or falls

  • Dehydration, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, or stomach pain

  • Blood pressure, blood sugar, or heart rate concerns

  • New or worsening symptoms that worry you

For chest pain, severe shortness of breath, stroke symptoms, severe allergic reactions, major trauma, or loss of consciousness, please call 911 immediately.

Quick Health Tips for the Holiday Weekend

Stay hydrated. Heat, alcohol, salty foods, and time outdoors can quickly lead to dehydration.

Be mindful with alcohol. Alcohol can interact with medications, worsen dehydration, increase fall risk, and raise blood pressure.

Protect yourself from the sun. Use sunscreen, wear a hat, seek shade, and avoid prolonged heat exposure.

Watch for heat illness. Dizziness, weakness, headache, nausea, confusion, or feeling faint can be warning signs.

Be careful around fireworks and grills. Keep children away from fireworks and use caution around flames, propane, and hot surfaces.

Do not ignore symptoms. Urinary symptoms, respiratory symptoms, wounds, infections, or worsening pain should be addressed early.

Keep medications on schedule. Make sure you have enough medication before traveling or leaving for the weekend.

Call Before You Go

Urgent care, ER, and hospital visits are sometimes necessary — but not always. Our goal is to help you get the right level of care at the right time.

This Fourth of July weekend, please remember:

We are here for you 24/7. Call us first with any medical needs.

Wishing you and your family a happy, safe, and healthy Fourth of July weekend.
